James had some moments on the Air China flight and we all said goodbye to Chengdu. James waved his hands.
He finaly settled and had a short nap.
We landed in Guangzhou and immediately ran to get pictures of James for his US VISA. Tomorrow, he has a doctor's appointment early in AM and then our Consulate Appointment is at 10:30. Then we wait about 24 hours for James Visa to enter the US and can leave on our flights Wednesday.
It will be a whirlwind, so I may not post much in the next few days.
We are on Shaiman Island, it's so different from downtown Chengdu. It's the part of Guangzhou where the Mandarins located the Westerners. It looks European and is very walkable. We ate at a Western style restaurant and we met lots of other families. It was nice.
Take care, Kelly

Good luck at the consulate - can't wait to see you all! Love,

Yay! You're here. I'm posting on Tuesday in China. Do you have time for dinner tonight? We have the group picture at 11:30 but are otherwise unscheduled.

Wow, Kelly. This is the first time I've logged in since you guys left. (Google kept kicking me out for some reason.) You guys are amazing. Best of luck.
